@Nandini - Not all are my wins! My kid has won 3 International Trips due to her own efforts!

While I have technically won only 1as though selected, I could not go for the Lux-London-Trip as my Passport's expiry was less than 6 months away...

Just imagine! After all these years of trying my luck at 100s of Travel-Contests, I have won just 1!!! Bad Ratio!

how dose it matter who wins , as long as its all in the family

you are right , there is no harm in paying the tax for those who love to travel,

but its always good if you are informed bout it before hand ,

for my free trip to Sikkim i paid the tax and it was well explained in the T&C

didn't pay a penny for my free trip to Melbourne

but the Paris was a shocker ! so was keen on checking .

Yes, it's my point too- Contests should inform everything in the T&Cs before hand so that we know what to expect!

Till a few days back, at least the prizes were forcing me to write. Now, I'm feeling like ignoring the contests and the deadlines

Logic is simple: A contest is extended when there are not ( or it is perceived that there will not) enough entries till the last day.

In wechat, apollo contests- deadline was not extended as they had enough entries while shoppers stop,sunsilk 2, tresemme,s2s etc were extended. 

This is why they can't tell you.

Contests also get extended if there are weddings 

Contests also get extended on demand/request of the majority on the Forum!

Contests can also get automatically extended if everyone's Internet or the IndiBlogger.in site doesn't work on the last date- when, perhaps, many like me, do their last-minute-submissions!

Everyone's internet not working is almost impossible ( except in some rare cases ) but IB site not working is highly possible . 

Meanwhile a couple of winners have been declared on twitter already! FYI!

i've seen some people tweet throughout the day to win...dont have so much stamina

ND Even if you tweet one good tweet, you can win a prize. See the WeChat contest. While mentioning [ some of ] the winners names, the tweet which won them the prize was also mentioned.  Or ND, use a tweet scheduler 

The most difficult thing for me on twitter is the 140 character limit!

Afshan, just give the hashtag, mention the brand's Twitter handle, and start tweeting.

Keep your tweet interesting- put your ideas in 140 characters (as hashtag & handle also use up some characters, so still lesser characters left to tweet with!) Must warn you-> Twitter is pretty addictive!

cause once i won a contest where i got a chance to see Britney spears live in concert in the US.(the time when she was sane)

I have tried Tweetathons like crazy, yet not bagged any big prizes...just increased my Tweet Count & Followers Count!!!

Tweetathons increase followers count? 

I thought that followers will unfollow you seeing frequent tweetathon tweets! 

i did 2 tweets yesterday..only my tweet count increased by two, i didnt get prize nor the followers...anyways i'm not too fond of twitter

Some do unfollow seeing the Tweet deluge; however many join in!

Active Twitter presence with Tweets 24/7 can increase the Followers Count too! As can being Retweeted/Mentioned by a Celebrity!
