I think I should stop participating in contests for 1-2 years. That will reduce a number of deadlines in my life.
I've not started writing for this contest and I know that I will never be in a mood to write even if this contest gets extended. \

is not opening in m chrome browser...strange earlier it was working fine...cant open gmail/youtube too

actually its opening in my other browsers...but not in chrome where i'm more comfortable... date has nothing to do with it...i think my chrome got corrupted..i cant open youtube/gmail too in it..all google related stuff...i wonder why

I was about to start writing but I saw that the deadline has been extended till 10th of Sep. 2013.
@everyone: I think we need to put a lot of efforts for this contest as many people are going to submit their entries.
@Renie: You should inform the Jury that it will be a mighty task for them to choose the winner and runners up of this contest because I believe the entries for this contest would go beyond 500 posts.

Hi all! Submitted and published my post before the first deadline like many others. From what I understand in the forum talk, is it possible that early submitted posts will be under a deluge and hence not seen? :( If so not fair. I shall revert it ot draft mode now although I guess its too late now. Any suggestions?

It doesn't help! What matters is when you submitted on IndiVine and not when you posted it on your blog.
Posts by you on IndiVine appear on the 'Posts from my Network' pages of the people who added you to their Network. These posts are sorted by date - latest first. However, when you submit for a contest, the post doesn't appear in these pages if the entries are hidden. After the entries are made visible, it is shown on those network posts pages but it will not be shown on the first page as it was posted many days back. So, there is some advantage of submitting on the last day as far as visibility is concerned.
Ranjith, thanks for the information. I was a tad worried about it affecting my post for the contest :) But isn't it tedious and tiresome to wait until the deadline especially since they are always changed late at night. at this rate my kids will never reach school the day after every deadline. :P

Razi, they do take the school bus which leaves at 6.15 in the morning which means I get up at 5.00 and walk them down to the bus stop that is a little away. Blame it on my genes or middle age, I cannot go back to sleep after I am up :(
