Modern names? Like Munni, Sheela, Razia, Chikni Chameli, Jalebi Bhai etc.?

The characters name does not define your story. I prefer any random name that comes to my mind. But not all think alike. Whats in a name?

Easwar jee, I remember reading somewhere (don't remember the source) that names are equally important. One should pick up a name very carefully. For example, if a beautiful princess is named Harpreet, it does not give that feel. On the other hand, if the same princess is named as Saumya, it actually gives the reader the feel of the character.

if you are thinking for harper collins get piblished story, my story has Arnav and Anjali in it. you may not be wanting names to collide so mentioned it. though i just wrote casually as names came to mind. no research on it
