Giving justice to an idea!
I have a question in mind that how can a gret idea be converted into a proper story? It is like you have a perfect idea on how to write a piece of fiction upon, you know what happens in the story, but how can it be delivered perfectly to the reader? I could really use some tips.
I always find that reading something thats in a similar vein and is written by a skilled author clicks on that lightbulb above your head.
evernote, my dear friends, evernote. The perfect solution to storing, organizing and retrieving your thoughts. Syncs with all your devices automatically.
i was looking fr a solution. thanks.
Well, for me, I guess one thing has been helpful.. I always keep noted with me whenever possible. The original quotes, ideas, gimmicks, by friends or any character in my life is recorded in the same instant by me. That's what it helps. At the end, when I sit back and ponder over the notes, I have a ready frame for a beautiful story with original words.. I have just to connect the links. The best advice thus would be dont ever keep something to write later. Put up a note somewhere you can remember. It would really help.Hope this answers your question.
nice inputs. jotting down instantly points help a lot.
great points. I shall keep in my mid to jot down incidents if my life and the sudden ide that come to mind out of nowhere. :)
helpful secret indeed
*have lots and lots and lots of PATIENCE (not that much required for a short story though)
*either sketch the whole plot in your mind and then start filling details into it... or, think of a fragment of situation and then imagine a sudden event that can follow and likewise it'll continue... the former method sounds more pro indeed
*read your story after writing few pages after you've taken some rest and see how much your written piece is convincing you... be critical, sarcastic and whatever you wish to be with it ..........................
*STARTING PROBLEM is a commonly encountered problem... if you get the lube for it share with me too
great inputs.
Anumoy- thank you for the inputs. They are truly helpful. I actually start to write on a topic and then get lost as to how to continue it convincingly.
Morning Pramod bhaiya....
Mischief, it's Anunoy, not Anumoy
Sorry Anunoy. My bad.
hi Anunoy da, I am really fan of your writing acumen, and have a lot to learn.
one good tip is to assume yourself in the situation and write :) hope I helped
You surely did Saurabh. I will try to write more of myself in the stories. :)
You can read some of my posts written back to back for your reference :) The framed lover and also some other :)

But all said and done, one can keep analyzing. But story writing is an art and not a science. It is not like you can give the algorithm and any monkey can start churning our quality fiction. It is an art and it has to come naturally. You can develop through practice and consciously studing popular writers to see what all techniques they have used to make their story effective and attempting the same in your fiction.
Agreed TF that writing is an art. Someone cannot be taught how to write exceptionally god stories or fiction, but surely one can improve his/her skills.Thank you for the links. I shall surely read them. :)
