What is the use of multiple communities

I have registered in multiple platforms but do not seem to be making the mildest impression anywhere else except Indiblogger, where - of course - I have just about managed to make a mild impression. Arti speaks of link-backs and Ranjith talks airily about 'juicy links' but for all the juice I get from other platforms I may as well not exist - including write-up cafe where I even won their latest contest. Either there is something wrong with the way I blog or TF is right about multiple platforms not being much use in terms of passing juice.

Of course there is a real life with real people and of course I am not spending my time 24x7 bewailing the lack of readers for my blog. Does not mean that I will not seek any information at all about it because it is still important enough for me to do so - else I'd not be blogging at all! :)

Linkbacks is one benefit that you get when you create an account and submit your article links in all the various directories. Then you can choose which among them works best for you and in which way and then devote and divide your time amongst them accordingly.

For interaction as in a community, I always prefered IndiBlogger... somehow always felt lost for that part in the others.

Now, that's the most important thing which I've forgotten- linkbaks- too juicy!

I've checked it out  but haven't read it yet!   I find myself too busy these days. A hell lot of things to day. Bookmarking it so that I would not forget to read it. One thing that caught my attention is her struggle to hide her face.

Suddenly so many smileys. Where is the princess? How can there be so many smileys and no princess?

The answer does not lie with those members who can be seen everywhere but with those who have founded the communities. It's more or less a race to be the first and provide the best platform for bloggeres. You question is just like asking: Is there a need of so many brands of laptops and mobiles? Each one of them show what they can provide to us and we choose the best. And if we have money and would like to have two different features not present in the same brand, we end up buying both of them. The same is with these communities. It costs nothing to join. And some of them have features that others do not possess. Contests and probably the only active forum ( BlogAdda has no forum, BlogJunta's forum is devoid of activity) is what one makes join IB. Book reviews and handpicked posts of the week are the features BlogAdda has which are absent in IB. And, there isn't anything special about the others. And on facebook, messages reach more instantly. Members can communicate with each other with few barriers and blogs reach even non bloggers and might become viral. And, it's not very true that it's the same set of people everywhere. A few (or probably, many) are present in each and every community. While, a few others choose the one which has the services they need. So, being a part of more than one community isn't really an unacceptable thing. And, if you think that you can combine all these faetures, and many more, do create one and people would flock over there.  The conclusion, it's more about business than about bloggers.

But it is becoming a trouble managing accounts in all the places. Imagine buying all brands of laptop and juggling between them. Similarly for general networking also we have Facebook, Linkedin, Orkut, Google Circles and now some new things such as Klout, Glasdoor. Life is becoming confusing with all these. You basically join everywhere so that you don't miss out on the 2-3 people uniquely on one of the communities. But 90% are the same people.

The last time I had checked on the BlogAdda forum some few weeks back, it was very well up and running with some good discussions happening around. No idea on its current status though.

@ Arti Blogadda doesn't have a forum, does it? Just to make sure that it wasn't BlogJunta that you meant, I moved over there and couldn't find a link to the forum anywhere. And regarding BlogAdda, the only thing that comes to my mind is the contest that has ended on April 25th. I doubt that the results are alraedy decalred but kept as a secret among the winners. 

@ The Fool Now, no one would out of their business, be it IB, blogadda or blogjunta. Probably, more of them will get added in the coming months. And, you have forgotten about international blogging communities like technorati, blog catalog and bloggers.  The simplest advice I would give is to stop visiting any of these websites (and in afct the whole interent) and be happy. I myself feel too satisfied and peaceful on days when I do not open the cover of my laptop even once. But the last time such a thing happened is probably several months. 

Blogadda has started a forum, Ranjth. They have also enrolled 10 premium bloggers to promote discussions in their forums - Purba, Mr. Passey, Corrine, Deboshree are few who I know from here.

I have not joined any international community, Ranjith. Are they similar to the Indian communities or are they just feed synchronized directories?

So, that's the business intention behind selecting premium bloggers.  I can't find the link anywhere. Is it hidden in some corner? Can you please share the link here?

And, regarding international communities, they mostly serve as just directories with even the leading blogs registered. The forums are not looked after and spam is intolerable in some. Till date, I never found a bloggers forum better than that of IB.
