it's back now 
. but i have seen this happening before. must be a technical thing which they need to sort out. never happened with my posts though 
It could have vnished and then come back beacuse of some 'technical thing' as you say. It hardly restores my confidence though. If it is due to the algorithm they have put in, I'd say its ridiculous.
