The HTML disease
Hi Friends,
I am new to blogging. Oh, I have been around the internet forever, posting and posting and posting, generally throwing my weight around, and loving every moment of it.
However, do you know, I have this uncanny ability to completely shut down and blink stupid whenever I am presented with anything that starts with"< "and ends with" >", and has "#" splashed generously in between? It's called HTML deficiency disease.
Am the only one, or do you also share the same 'shut down syndrome' when you have to post HTML? Or are you one of those who have umpteenth number of HTML tricks up their sleeves?
You guys crack me up!Seriously speaking, we all know that once we start concentrating a bit on anything we REALLY want to learn, we can. Who said we can't? It's the 'instant gratification' syndrome that ails us. I know so many guys people - both boys and girls - go cross eyed over a simple hem requirement in suit pants.....and kids well versend in 'Minecraft' look at graph tables as if they are charts from alien lands....it's all in the mind you see.
jeez, u have gotta be kidding me: http://www.w3schools.com/ learning anything you ever wanted to learn.
google my dear friend.... html is very easy :) ..Trust me even you can learn in 7 days .. ;)
Guidance free pawa jaye thekhi, but the guarantee lies in their explaination, not in my understanding.
html deficiency is a hidden disease with a lot of stigma attached to it. i can hear in the apartment elevator when i get in as i hear them whisper, he is html deficient, almost as if they were discussing a sexually transmitted disease. i also have a big problem admitting it, and end up spending hours trying to figure out tutorials on how to insert a link in a comment or add a keyword to my header. in forums like these, the disease worsens, with the HTML shahs and the captain awsomes of the HTML world wondering why one should be unable to figure out stuff that unintelligent processors can. but it is in these forums too, that you will find brotherhood and identification with the countless silent sufferers of this disease, people who cannot see life within quotes, and those too are not quotes really, and for whom everything doesn't have tags. and it is in these forums too that you will find fellow travellers who will hand-hold you through the a-b-c's or rather, the h-t-m's of html efficiency, so that you can walk tall again.
jokes aside, if you do not need to write letters to your relatives in html, don't break your head, like captain awesome said, look up some basic tutorials to give you a feel for how the syntax works, and then build a basic code library of your own for your most common tasks, and copy and paste as required. if I can get well, anyone can. of course, now I have a new disease, missing shift key syndrome, so all my html now is cut and paste. exclamation mark.
wow subhoroop, you are the only great doctor here. cheers. I am thinking of an appointment soon.( free)
jekhun banglaai bolbo, bondhu theke bondhu conversation and guidance free hoi.
captain, I can give guidance, and money too iff and only iff executed properly, any takers. guidaance with money
FANTASTIC!!!! I love your post :)I am quite fortunate that I have a wizkid of a brother to fall back on, he comes to my rescue from twitter to tumbler, no question asked. Still, even as I follow his codes, I keep scratching my head to figure out a way by which I can remember them all.
Though when it comes to morphing images on photoshop and paint, I get darned good at it. I guess I am not really digital challenged, just the dry HTML codes get to me everytime.
agreed,
Giving is not just about being able to write a check. It's being able to touch somebody's life. -Oprah,,,
A mad man if he knows he is mad, means he is not mad. I too tried to learn some css coding and what not, and gave up after reading first chapter. rely on copy paste and google mausa for help.
Hahahaha!! You sound someone from my camp :p
hehehe, i am older patient.
Nah! Hemal, you are supposed to have the syndrome when you don't know it.
Right now, I am the only one qualified here to have the disease
I am so much used to that I even write my name as HTML instead of HEMAL. or sometimes, HEML.
I use HTML to earn my bread (and butter too) everyday and it is so imbibed in me that its very easy for me to have this syndrome.
HTML is easy. I learnt that when I was in 9th class.
By the way, I have one question, I've seen people posting pictures/images in forum. How do they do it? HTML?
yes they do..
How do expect me to figure out my mistake from that?
ritvik, simply load picture on piccasaa and then copy paste the pic from picassa simply here. it will work. it listens to piccassa only.
see, just copy and then paste, but after loading on picasa only. simple as that. see your test pic above
THANKS!!!

hahahahaha! No, it's a made up name. I made it upCaptain Awesome, I could already tell that you have the IT tips by your fingerips. It is us no IT nerds who struggle with it.
Copy paste works, all the time. But see, here is the problem. You miss one inverted comma, and the link is gone, and you are none the wiser. But even hunting for those copy paste codes, and then trying to understand HOW to apply it is a full time job in itself.
Aah its not that difficult. Google HTML tutorials and just 2-3 days. You'll be a master in HTML
I never knew that there was a syndrome by that name!
As of now, I neither run away from HTML nor do I know it completely.
