IndiRank Thread. (April 2012, announced on 8th May 2012)

I am wondering what do I do with this score? How does it impact?

I have two blogs listed. http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/ is on conservation and wildilfe photography. It is at 85.

and www.arjunaubacha.blogspot.com is on Formula 1 and it is at 66.

I scored 59. First month, not many posts, dont think its that bad. is it?

Wasnt expecting a jump...

but was pleasantly surprised to reach 77 from 55...

No change in my Indi rank...same 72...:-)

maintaining position is also a task.

Last month it was 80....And now it has gone up to 84!!!

great 84 is quite an achievement.

Had a jump from 82 to 84 :) a pleasant suprise since i expected a drop considering my free falling Alexa rank.

I had a though on whether usage of Alexa ran makes sense for calculation of Indirank.

Alexa rank is calculated based on the data of the users who have installed the Alexa toolbar. For blogs and websites which have a substantial number of common visitors from search engines and other fellow bloggers (who would most likely NOT have an Alexa toolbar installed with their broswer), the Alexa rank would not be an actual reflection of the website visitors.

And when Alexa rank itself is not a real reflection, would it be worthwhile to influence the Indi Rank?

What do you guys out there think?

This has already been taken care of, as suggested by Renie, Alexa rank for both .in and .com has been considered as well its weightage has been lowered. Probably that's why your dipping Alexa didnt affect ur IR! Congrats

from 84 to 83 .. Sigh .. I think I joined Indiblogger in May 09.  Rank was 81 then :) It has been a great association

Got a better than ever Moz/Alexa, and too much better ExternalJuice...still it reached 71 which is well below my Feb rank of 81! Kuch to jhol hai...

My Indirank for IRWR blog stays put at 82... and my Hindi blog gets a 37 for its first Indirank.

yeah it is. for a first rank, thats quite good :)

I think there is a static badge, TU. since Wp.com doesnt support scripts, there is no dynamic badge that updates automatically :)

Second month in indiblogger--jumped from 55 to 78!!! But still don't get the moz rank piece. Somebody with easy-to-understand inputs on how to improve it?

Subho's Jejune Diet "jumped" from 84 to 68. The one obvious reason is "last updated" as I went on the longest vacation that I have taken in the last 14 years, so no regrets! Moz rank and Alexa both dipped a little, Moz went from 3.54 to 3.53 while Alexa refuses to come down below 400K from a 300K earlier (before feb). External JP links however, went from 58 to 139.

Indirank for The Operative Note too went from 78 to 63. Curious Hat went from 65 to 51. The Story of Parth, however, has revived from 41 to 51, not through any effort of mine, but thanks to traffic and improved ALexa and external links.

Now that you are back from vacation....

my musings has the highest lifetime achievement 84 is the number for me. 

my marriagebook gone down the drain to 58. i have to pay attention on it now.
