Being in a start up does have its challenges and anyone who has a start-up can post comments here on how they feel that the blogger community can help

@ Adarsh Rao - A focus on startups sounds good! and creating a community for start ups, fabulous! Is this something that is enough? because I'd like to know what start-ups really want from an online community like IndiBlogger.in .. I mean do they want reviews out of the product from bloggers or do they want contacts within top circles.. Once we try and understand what a start up wants to achieve, it will be easier to get it right..

@ Everyone - Any Ideas?

Anoop,

We could have blog listings in different categories (such as technology, new products, etc.) A possibility could be these blogs post product reviews, and link them to the corresponding start-up website.

Building on Amitabh's idea, another option would be to showcase a startup every month on Indi blogger.  For example: post information about a startup (how it was started, what are its products, who are the people behind it, etc) and post it on Indi blogger. This will not only help us bloggers know more about the new products, but as you mentioned, many of us could gain inspiration and motivation to start something new. It also has potential to create a community for start-ups.

Hope that helps,

Thanks,

@ Amitabh,Binaryday, sriharsha,

Thank you guys for your comments on this. I understand that start-ups need to be showcased in some way on a post or on a specific feature on indiBlogger.in that promotes start ups so that people can track the different start ups and also gain inspiration and look at success stories of start-ups that has made it big..

My quetion is would this help startups, because most web related startups more often than not have a blog and they require traffic too..

Is this an idea that will help?

Binary,

All products do not have a cause, but all of them can be associated with a cause. This is a standard marketing technique nowadays. For example, one could say that 1% of my profit from this product is donted to the spastic society of India and then blog extensively about Spastic sciety and how you were associated. Or ypu could go with the latest flavour of the season - go green. Basically anything that shows that you are contributing to the society or earth. This has been successfully done by a cosmetic company in the west, ages ago (I forget the name.)

So, have a website and have one page of the website as your blog.

Cheers!

I have witnessed something remarkable on this forum ... people actually help. Just go through REVIEW MY BLOG - most of the request have a response.

Actually now it is time to turn around the question and ask ...

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR INDIBLOGGER?

Ok coming back to the original question ... this is what I suggest: first go online. Have a web and a blog. Blog about the relevance of your product on the blog. Associate it with a cause. Then put it up on Indiblogger for all of us to comment. I bet the response will be overwhelming.

Best of luck with your start up, Anoop.
