If my blog is opening with and without WWW is it is really a problem?i received this below message.if it is really a problem how to solve?

Be sure that http://virtual-kidspace.blogspot.com and http://www.virtual-kidspace.blogspot.com are not running in parallel.

Redirecting requests from a non-preferred hostname is important because search engines consider URLs with and without "www" as two different websites.

Once your preferred domain is set, use a 301 redirect for all traffic to your non-preferred domain.

I did a check on a Moz rank checker. I got following result. mozRank of luciferhouseinc.blogspot.com is : 3.64 mozRank of www.luciferhouseinc.blogspot.com is : 2.7 Is my Moz rank suffering because of this problem? How do I remedy this?

Indi blogger has taken my rank as 2.7. if it had taken as 3.64 I guess my Indi rank would have been higher.

I'll try to explain...

You have to choose between two options:   http://www.yourdomain.com   or   http://yourdomain.com

You use a redirect so that a search engine understands that your are using one of the two (but not both) if your set up a 301 redirect to one of them.

Like when you shift your house, you can ask for your postal mail to be forwarded (err, not sure if that is possible in India, but is surely is in US).

You should do this if you use your own domain because your "visitors" get divided into 2 different websites "www.yourdomain.com" and "yourdomain.com". This happens because both are different websites as per search engines.  For example, if someone uses blog.yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com as different addresses, then they are often different websites.

I have set up a 301 redirect.  If you type my blof name with www then automatically it will redirect to rumbaho.com and that will NOT have the "www".

a 301 is a PERMANENT redirect,  This means that spiders, crawlers (well, basically any browser or sarch engine that visits your site know that this is a permanent change and they will not bother to store info on the "www" part if you have redirected as per the example above.

Other times, people may want to redirect to another site.  Say I use rumbahoblog.com and want to move all my visitors to rumbaho.com, then also 301 works because the browsers understands it.

Most importantly, this line...

"Once your preferred domain is set, use a 301 redirect for all traffic to your non-preferred domain."  is crap.

It should read ... "Once your preferred domain is set, use a 301 redirect for all traffic FROM your non-preferred domain TO your preferred domain."

It is also used if you create a folder...  like if you make some changed to your company website.

Current page:  http://www.example.com/contactdetails.htm

Required page: http://www.example.com/India/contactdetails.htm

You can set a permanent redirect for that page, or for EVERYTHING that begins with http://www.example.com to redirect to example.com/india/.

Ab samajh aaya?
