I wonder whether whether anyone is planning to have a special post to close off 2011. Possible option

1. Just any other blog post

2. A post summarizing how the year went

3. A general special post

4. Already done for the year.

This year has been big for me. Have done 56 posts, maximum in 4 years. My followers crossed 100 and then 150. Total posts crossed 100. So thinking if I should post reflecting on the year that went by.

I missed my year posts as suddenly I got too many new ideas the last 1 week - so ended up posting 5 posts within a week and missed the year end refelctions post. Maybe I should post in in the new year before starting the new year.

Wonderful thought TF. Best to you for the new year. Keep writing and sharing. We all grow and blossom each day.

This year brought me all that life could possibly offer. recognition as well as love of many who guided me in my changeover. It was a life changing year for me and as I said in reply to Renjith , there got to be new endings , closures , so that new beginnings can take shape.

I have already done my year end post and would love the feedback.

Thanks indibloggers and inditeam for always being there for me.

Wish you all A very Happy Wonder filled year 2012. Keep blogging.

Cheers!

2011 has been a roller coaster year, wherein my travel quotient has come down slightly when compared to past years, even my posts have just managed to notch up 64 posts which is the highest so far from 2007.  It is hectic to keep churning posts.  Good luck to you Smile

Thanks, Umesh. I just fell one short of you in the final tally - 63. Hope I beat it next year.

I will try to add five posts each to my both the sites. Let's see if I am able to do that.
And this time for my blog exclusively, it will be a democracy of the blog, by the blog, for the blog. So it should be happy like hell for attaining freedom.

10 posts!! Thats great P, will wait for the posts...
Yo DS, will surely try to meet up the commitment, like the salmaan dialogue, ek baar ke diya, so keh diya, for wo khud salmon ki bhi ni sunata.
Again a typo, but challegaa.

I wanted to write something last year specially for New Year...but then...well...stuff happened. And I felt utterly uninspired.

And this time I honestly don't know. I want to write something special...let's see!!!

Definitely NOT about how the year went...then it will turn out to be a mopey post :P

Nice thread by the way...reminded me of trying to write something different ;)

We need to celebrate the start of a new year and not the ending of something. Tongue out

Ranjith

Coming to the actual question, I don't think that I would be posting anything special. I had one such post the last year but now, I feel that every day is the say, be it the new year, the birthday of my blog or some other regular day.

TF Carthick

Its not about celebration - It is about reflection. Every year is a milestone in one's life to stop and reflect how life's going.

I dont think I will post anything special... Might post my remembrances from the field of cricket in 2011....

That itself is a special post DS... Tongue out

TF Carthick

@Ranjith - Thats an oxymoron.

TF Carthick

@DS - A cricket blog defiitely needs a post on the year's highlights.

DS

Yeah was thinking the same...

DS

But my post will be unofficial... Only things that I remember will be there... Maybe I will miss somethings which others would have included...
TF Carthick

@DS - Has to be different from the official version. If it is same as offcial version, one can directly read the official version. It is the personal touch that makes blogs special. When I do my book reviews, I add my personal reflections to it. The popular books I review may have already been reviewed a thousand times. My personaly flavor is what I bring to the table. Same is the case with your cricket stuff I guess.

DS

Yeah! There are no official versions as such as it is... Will try to put up a post remembring my best memories of 2011:)
