IndiRank NOV 2011 - Predictions/Discussion/Results etc..

well not sure if we should be happy about increase in our score, because it reality all people have seen significant jump in score. also i can see that now more people have same score than before

Also if you check your overall rank would have actually dropped significantly. 

At the cost of sounding resentful i would like to point out that before this ranking , i was among the top 100 or top 150 blogs in personal category but after this even though my score has increased to 78 my indirank is not even in top 300 in personal category, some major churnup and a slight heartbreak for me(though i acknowledge, there are many bloggers far better than me who are ranked waay low) . I am sure many ugly discussions are on the way for indirank;)

Also any idea why Google page rank is not being used? Thats sort of industry standard

you might get some idea if u go thru the link i posted above about gpr. Even google webmater tools are not using gpr now, it might be oficially out of the scene soon.

agree that there seem to be some mismatches.

@Madhur, Congrats firstly on the rank, though as you mention, it might not be truly indicative.. then again, no rank is quite "standard" in opinion to rank a website or blog. For me, its just a number I dont know of ugly discussions if or not they shall arise.. hopefully not.

82 I was happy on seeing it but later realised that the rank has increased considerably for everyone.

This was my first rank and I got meagre 58 :( Seeing that everyone's rank has increased substantially, I feel I have a real bad rank to start with:(

I still dont have a mozrank, any idea how I can get one? Do I need to submit my blog anywhere?

58 isn't bad at all for a first rank, Arnab. Post regularly, and it'll get higher. :)

Mozrank is generated automatically. If your blog is brand new, then it'll take a while for a mozRank to get generated.  

Never mind. 58 is still an acceptable rank. It will surely increase in the long run if you are dedicated in blogging.

Arnab, you are a tad higher than me dude, i am at 56, so rejoice, and i have a superb moz rank too,

58 is pretty decent, I have been way below this many times

You dont have a moz rank, I think that is precisely the reason for your low rank.. Dont give too much thought into these ranks.. they are very dodgy.. Just give it a few months, I am sure you will be standing on the same IndiRank pedestal as us, or may be even higher! Good Luck!

I jumped from 66 to 84. Yay! :) This is my highest score yet.

Also finally Google knows that I exist, coz I got my first GPR. It's just 1, as of now. But I'm hoping it'll increase.

Got a shock. I was at 53 and now at 77. I was expecting it to be around 60.

Congrats Shalini  many have seen an increase in their ranks, the most probable reason being the exclusion of GRP from the factors deciding the IndiRank

Ranks don't matter much. They are just tools that help IB put up things in a proper order and as Arti pointed out, IndiCrawler doesn't have the ability to rank Love

I have had a very pleasant surprise.

My page rank last month was 69 and this month has jumped to 85.

The only noticeable change in my dashboard is a change in Google PR from 1 to 2. But Indi has indicated that Google PR is no longer used to calculate the Indi Rank.

I am wondering what has triggered this substantial change.

I can only make one wild guess - it was the traffic which made a difference (My Blog got a lot og hits - courtesy Kolaveri Di). If this is indeed the case, maybe we can conclude that Blog Hits is one of the hidden parameters used to calculate the IndiRank

I don't think so because IndiBlogger has no mechanism to track our page hits. Or do they have one? And if it is really the hidden factor, then there is redundancy since Alexa Rank too is similar.  And congrats for your rank.
