Australia series beckons Team India now. Its a very important away series after they were beaten 4-0 in England. What should be the

  • team selection
  • pre match strategies
  • who should play, who dropped
  • live scores, commentary
  • results discussion, etc..

We have been whitewashed again, really has been a pathetic performance by team India.

Will the ODI's give something to cheer about??

The Aussies drop Phil Hughes and Usman Khawaja from the test squad. David Warner & Shane Watson doubtful due to injuries. Are they gonna go in with a brand new opening pair altogether?

DS

Shane Watson is not in the 13 man squad for the 1st test Vishal. I think they will open with Warner and Marsh. If Marsh is unfit then Cowan comes into the picture...

And we still dont know whats the suspense with Ishant... BCCI works so strangely...

Dipesh bhai, BCCI works for nothing but money. They don't give a damn to ANYTHING ELSE... I hate that sports body as much as I love the Indian cricket team...

The feeling is the same here too... I just hate BCCI.

Australia finish Day 1 on 277/6 after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Not bad as the wicket had something for the bowlers the whole day...

We must wrap up the innings quickly tomorrow as 350 will be a challenging score on this wicket...

Aussie bowlers can try doing only that when they're being bludgeoned. Sad to see Sachin depart in the 70s.

The first session will be very important tomorrow... If India lose couple of wickets, then it will be very close...

Thats true. I hope they bat well. How much lead do you think will get us into a stong position? I think anything above 150 would be good.

DS
from Mumbai

Yeah! Minimum 100... Or else we will be in pressure chasing in the 4th innings... The less to chase the better:)

From 214/2 we are now 245/7... What a collapse... The strange thing is that Ishant is still there... He was the night watchman...
DS

He is gone now. We are in a mess... Surely we will concede a big lead... What a waste of a situation from 214/2...

If they manage to add more than 30 runs tomorrow , its going to be real tough chase for us . With few of our batsmen yet to get out of Catch practice mode .

Its going to be unpredictable even though many news channels are saying " India just an inch away from a victory "

DS

The news channels show crap most of the time... They dont have any idea what the pitch is behaving like or of the overhead conditions...

Pitches down under are much different from the subcontinent, the batsmen need at least two to three weeks to get adjusted to it. Dravid, Sachin and Sehwag were able to bat well because of their experience. I was expecting a bit more from Laxman, though.

Dhiraj Shenoy
from Bangalore

Most important is to spend time in the middle with bat and not being to flashy .

abhin@v
from mumbai

Yes, Thats completely true. I admire Dravid because of his persistence. He is one guy who doesnt easily get affected whether it is aggressive bowling or the other batsman hitting fours and sixes, he plays his natural game and keeps the scoreboard ticking. That requires a lot of maturity,

Dhiraj Shenoy
from Bangalore

Agreed .

Match over . Aussie win , India losses  5 test match straight  outside Home .

DS
from Mumbai
Agreed Abhi and Dhiraj. These players went to Australia about 2 weeks earlier to get accustomed. But this is so irresponsible batting display.
