Unwanted Traffic
For the past few days, the traffic sources tab in my dashboard shows that I have been receiving a lot of traffic from this site –
777seo.com / 282 hits
I googled a bit on it and came to know that it is a blocked/blacklisted site by google. What makes me even more worried is the fact that a few days back google had taken my entire blog down due to some malware reporting and suspicious intrusion and I had to change my password and go through the authentication process to get it up and running again. And now this problem…
I am continuously receiving traffic from the above site and the numbers are increasing by the day. What should I do? Any precautions that I should take?
I haven’t a clue of all these things Any idea, anyone?
Well.. I don't see a point in worrying about this... I too got the same thing... Let me describe...
Two months back I was recieveing very low traffic, and it was that time I came to know about these refereal websites. So, initially you are given like 50 coins, and then you have to set a price, that the other users will get when they watch your blog. Like I had set it to 5 coins. So, everytime anyone watched my blog they got 5 coins. And I earned more coins by seeing others blog. So, It was receprocating. So, in about 3 days I got somewhere like 500-700 hits. At first I enjoyed it, but then I felt this was not right and relised this was a mistake and I am not getting geniune followers. So, I stopped that account, and now everything seems fine.
So, basically this address is a spam referal address and they're just targeting your blog. I don't even know if the problem is resolved or not, But I think this is what exactly is going on.
I am recieving unwanted traffic from these sites :
1. alphainventions.com - 250
2. justforlaughsgags.tv - 150
3. googlecorrection.com - 150
In total, more than 500 unwanted visitors a day. It's so irritating. Just views on my blogs and not reading posts. Am sure it's spam or whatever hell it is. Can anyone help me to stop this.
yup....this site alphainventions has irritated me for a long time.
Have received fresh dose of unwanted traffic today , even after reporting it ,via feedback . Has anybody else have received it today .
Yes, dhiraj - Justforlaughgags and googlecorrection - around 50 odd hits from both.
Thanks, Dheeraj. It worked.
How did people resolve these issues? By doing nothing. I am receiving lot of traffic these days from domar.ru. I have not clicked the link but I still continue to receive this traffic. I usually like chacking daily stats and gloating when my hits cross. Now domar.ru has taken the whole fun away by providing the maximum hits. Anyway I can get rid of it or I only have to wait for it to go by itself?
Use " send feedback" on the right hand bottom side of your Dashboard screen . State the problem with print screen . It will for sure reduce if not complete vanish off . Even today i receive about 4-5 page views from Domar .
@arti hehehe, I wz just joking.... even me getting traffic from domar.ru, I just don't know what the hell is this thing, how referring works........ Can anybody tell me how am I getting traffic from these websites?????
This month, I have been receiving daily traffic of 100+ without even publishing much. When I checked statistics, I was disappointed to see at least half the traffic coming from domar.ru this week. I searched it out - again another of these spam sites.
why am I not getting any unwanted traffic, not fair with me......
I'm facing the same problem here and the culprits are the same 3 sites. I've clicked on the source links a couple of times, but then avoided doing so as advised on blogger support forum. The number has significantly dropped now but not stopped completely.
I usually experience this unwanted traffic on weekends and mine is not a travel blog.
I too receive small doses now and then . But tis drastically reduced .
I havent recieved anything for the past few days now... Its nil and everything seems good, as of now.
@DS Even I have recieved from the said site. But I dint know it was unwanted traffic..
Had received fresh dose of unwanted traffic today , even after reporting it ,via feedback . Has anybody else have received it .
Same here, and mine is not a travel blog.
I know the feedback was for the new interface, but it worked for me.
I didnt find the blogger forum much helpful for my problem. Sending feedback seemed the easiest solution to start with.
Hey DS,
Blogger Dashboard: Right side bottom corner, you can see a tab "Send Feedback".
I described my issue in 2 - 3 lines. Hope it helps.
The feedback is for the new interface. For any Blogger related issues, you can visit the Help Forum.

Thank you all for the helpful information
I have learnt a lesson of not clicking on unknown links.
Hello fellow bloggers,
I sent a feedback to Blogger about this issue of unwanted traffic with my blog and the next day all those links just disappeared. Its been a week now and luckily no more unwanted links.
Ok, then will do it too But, I do hope it has not caused any damage, as pointed out by Hemal in his previous reply... Thanks for the reply Uma :)
Arti, I too have been getting those exact same 3 links. They are registering higher on my traffic list than my top referrers which is how I noticed. I'm sure google with notice and remedy it soon. I'm not a travel blogger and I havent seen the 777seo either. I checked google analytics for my site and they aren't even mentioned. It's weird.
@Kristy Yeah, same is the case here.. Try sending a feedback to blogger as Uma suggested.
Same here +favorite 777seo/com also . But these clicks are not being counted in page impressions of Google adsense .
Extremely Sorry for my late reply here
Many Thanks all for the info and related help.. I think the problem is sorted out now and the links have all gone
I very much appreaciate all your concerns and assistance... Thank you @everyone
Have recieved more unwanted traffic today also from a different link .

I am sure there are many other similar threads as well. Enter diffferent keywords in the search on the help forums to view them.
@ abhi, one of the unwanted link i recieved today is college/nitecruzr/net , and person name (nitecruzr) in your link is same
A little late here, but nevertheless in a similar situation of some unwanted 777seo.com, goo.gl. t.co visitors to the blog
Can anybody check if all blogger users are having the same issue or only those with Indi accounts? (Well, I'm not blaming Indi but just an instinct...?)
All's well till all of us are in the well
Another thing is that generally I don't refer to the stats shown on blogger (nor click on any of the links), rather I prefer the more trusted google analytics that gives me authentic information
You could create a .htaccess file within your web-directory and could add the following code to block the unwanted traffic
order deny, allow
deny IP address of Domain
Allow all
Example:
Order deny, allow
deny 198.123.23.23
deny 198.100.*.*
allow all
