According to my dashboard, the next update should've been on the 25th of September... and it is already 2 days beyond that deadline.

Hope there isn't any other way to get your latest update on one's blog indirank?

Good... I do hope to go way above the 54 that I was awarded last month.

Our of curiosity, what is different about your blog NOW as compared to earlier? I'm asking because I added many posts in the last month or so and am expecting an improvement in IndiRank myself (though not sure how much).

Also, Why does IndiRank matter to you?

Arvind Ji , ranking has no connection with rewards, or quality of posts. It is combination of certain analytical data , of your posting frequency, traffic in to your blog, moz rank, google page rank etc.
Rumbaho, I see your new site look is also superb now, not to mention the quality posts. Great efforts dude.
Arvind Ji, site loading time too is considered in ranking. It should load fast.

I also hope my rank goes up. If my rank goes down any further, out of the window goes the rank widget.

Well Rumbaho.com... my blog posts were next to negligible for a couple of months and the ranking had jolted me out of my laziness.

For the past month now, I have uploaded quite a few posts and am expecting a vastly different rank.

Why am I so bothered... no reason, really. And I am not bothered... I just want to see if these ranks actually end up in MORE comments on my blog. I have noticed that Indivine LIKES do not necessarily mean that people are reading my posts... and they never leave any indication of their visit.

Let me give an example:

I submitted this article on indiblogger and in less than 24 hours I could see 15 LIKES... and not a single exxtra comment on the actual article page on my website.

What does this really mean?

I am just trying to understand the funda behind 'rankings'... and yes, thank you @Pramod Lohia, for the rank insights in your comment.

votes that one gets is just a token of sightseeing type of thing. one gets it, then if he is more considerate and goes to that voter's site and comment on his post, he gets a communication back. like building a relation. btw. he may be unlucky to get a revert back too at times. but.....

it's never a one way traffic in blogging.

Traffic from Indiblogger will stop when you are not active here. So, you may as well ignore it even now. A blogger's only hope is that some member may like the blog enough to bookmark or follow it.

I think visibility in seach engines is far more important than visitors from IB since most of them don't even read your post before voting for it.

Since I am not much of a writer yet, I focus on learning to write rather than on IB votes/likes. It is sometimes a mood-elevator to get a few votes, but otherwise has no significance for me.

Ranking is based on a few factors which are explained on this page: http://www.indiblogger.in/indirank/ .

The "secret" factors probably include frequency, quality of links, page loading time, and maybe keyword relevance (if they know how).

I have found no connection between votes and comments. The IB members who commented have not even voted for my posts. lol
