Inviting Bangalore indiblogger friends for screening of my film
To all my Indiblogger friends in Bangalore.
I am holding a screening of my film in bangalore in Alliance Francaise on 1st October at 5 PM.
Title of Film: "A Call in the Rainforest"
Duration: 18 and half minutes.
It documents the plight of one sub-population of the endangered Lion-tailed Macaques in Anamalais in the Western Ghats.
There will be a discussion involving eminent biologists after the screening. I have made this film to raise awareness, so no entry fees
Any one interested in conservation issues should attend. However, one needs to email me beforehand for confirmation.
The details of screening and my email id is given in this link: http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/a-call-in-the-rainforest-screening-at-bangalore/

Congrats and that must be a proud moment for you (receiving the award.) I liked what you spoke in the video. What a marvelous achievement! I tried to post comment on the site but there was some technical problem.
Dear All,
Thanks for your responses. I will have to create a smaller version for web. Will do it sometime and upload. Before that will be the DVD release, which I hope to do by the end of this month.
The first screening went off well, despite the heavy rains in bangalore. A few photos here: http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/first-screening-a-call-in-the-rainforest/

Wow , wonderful , Will let u know .
i will try to attend the movie screening provided my outstation program gets cancelled All the best Patra
I too have a dream of making a short film and winning big awards for the small thing :-)
Ranjith,
Awards are an outcome. I don't think one can make a film keeping an award in mind. For me the purpose is to generate awareness regarding the conservation challenges faced by the Lion-tailed Macaques. Whether one is blogging or filming, if there is no passion, it will get reflected in the output. If you are passionate, then that leads to increased efforts, and more efforts increases your chances of being in the right time at the right place. In short, it makes you a lucky man.
'Big awards' is something more than what can be described in words. Hope that you can understand it.
